A Digitization Strategy Must Include a Cybersecurity Strategy
Abstract:
Moving forward to craft a Digital Enterprise is no longer “if” but “when” and “how fast.” A Digital Enterprise requires increased customer (end point) transparency, interaction and automation. Assessing and measuring asset risk and reputational risk is now a major factor in every decision for CIOs and CISOs giving the top impact for digitization to a cybersecurity strategy. Additionally, the top impact within cybersecurity strategy for 2022 is securing data from ransomware. Failure to address a fundamental basic preparedness, could jeopardize any and all efforts for both the digital workplace, digital customer experience and corporate health.
Taking the bite out of ransomware means preparing for the worst possible scenario. Can we accurately assess what that worst case would be and are our Enterprises well-equipped and well-armed? How are we preparing for what seems to be a forgone conclusion of a ransomware attack? Are we effective at determining and categorizing our assets as a fundamental and tactical need?
